1. Expecting fast results
Your skin didn’t get irritated or uneven overnight, and it won’t improve overnight either. Most people need at least four weeks of consistency before seeing noticeable changes.
2. Starting too many products at once
This is probably the most common mistake. Stick to cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. If you want to add a treatment (like a serum or exfoliant), introduce only one new product at a time. Give it two to four weeks before deciding if it’s helping.
3. Skipping sunscreen
Sunscreen isn’t optional. Without it, your skin won’t have a chance to heal or stay even-toned. It’s the best prevention step you can take for future breakouts, irritation, or dark spots.
